Water Exercise Programs
Level I Aquacize
This is an enjoyable class for people living with arthritis, Fibromyalgia or any chronic pain syndrome. This class sinsists of a series of exercises in the water to increase joint mobility, improve muscular strength and increase vitality. The water provides buoyancy to lessen weight on affected joints.
Level II Aquacize
Simply, east to learn exercises done in the water, that will tone your muscles and improve your cardiovascular health, with less stress on your joints. All the exercises are done in the shallow end of the pool. No swimming skills are required.
Level III Aquacize
Same as level II aquacize, but geared towards active older adults.
Deep Water
This water fitness program is designed for an intense workout while lowering stress on the feet, knees, ankles and hips. The class includes a warm-up, water jogging in the deep end, cool down and stretching. Flotation devices will be used and most of the class will be in the deep water. Some swimming skills are needed for this class.
High Impact Aerobics
This water fitness class is exactly how it sounds. It will involve stretching, warm-up and an intense aerobic workout in both the shallow and deep ends of the pool. Some swimming skills are needed for this class.
Butts and Guts
This class incorporates the stability ball and pilates to target the the abdominal, back, quad, hamstring, thigh, and buttocks muscles.
Cardio Ball
Cover the three components of a good work-out: cardiovascular, strength, and flexibility training. This class is a total body low impact aerobic workout using light hand weights and fitness balls. This 45 minute workout consists of a warm-up, marching, exercises with weights to strengthen and tone, and a cool down. Do not need your own fitness ball. Some are available.
Cardio Kickboxing
An exciting class utilizing the elements of kick-boxing and body sculpting. This class consists of a warm-up, 45 minutes of cardiovascular training and 15 minutes of abdominal conditioning and cool down. Enjoy the possibilities. No boxing experience necessary.
Fitness Fantasia
Dance your way into shape with choreographed low impact aerobic dances. Each one designed to improve cardiovascular endurance, increase flexibility and tone flabby muscles. this class offers a fantastic way to look better, feel better, improve coordination and gain confidence!
Stretch and Tone
Learn a variety of ways to maintain and improve your flexibility, balance, strength, and core muscles (abs and back). This class is recommended for active older adults.
Step and Sculpt
Progress from simple step moves to east to follow combinations for a great cardio workout. This low impact workout with an adjustable step accommodates various fitness levels in one class. A toning and stretching segment will round out your workout.
Class for 18 and over - lots of fun!!!
Coed Adult Volleyball (18 and over/out of high school) (Registration Sheet click here)
A league for teams that are already formed. All players must be 18 years of age or older and out of high school. The league will run for 11 weeks and on the 11th week a tournament will be held. Must complete a registration form and have payment due at the time of first game. Games will be played in the large gym starting at 6:00 p.m. with teams consisting of a combination of both men and women on the court at the same time. Starts: January 15 / Online Registration offered
Coed High School and Adult Dodgeball League
The league will be divided up into high school and adults 18 and older. Each group will consist of 6 men and women per team. 6-0n-6 league will play the best out of 5 games. Starts: Wednesday, January 9
Adult Men's basketball League
Games will be played in the YMCA big gym. Two twenty minute halves with a continuous clock until the last minute of each half. Maximum of 6 players per team and a minimum of 4. Call your own fouls with a court monitor. Starts: Sunday, January 11 / Online Registration offered
