Charitable Giving

How Charitable Giving Helps

The YMCA of Kewanee offers a wide variety of programs and services, providing opportunities for adults and children to improve themselves in spirit, mind and body.  The YMCA has fitness classes, swim lessons, and sporting leagues for all ages. All of our programs instill the core values of honesty, caring, respect and responsibility.

At the YMCA, kids learn character development and life-skills that they will take with them into adulthood.  All of our youth programs instill the core values, build character and teach kids life skills that will help them to grow up to become happy, healthy and productive.  Through volunteerism as board leadership and campaign fundraisers, our community is helping the YMCA build strong kids, strong families, strong communities.

Over the years,  the YMCA of Kewanee has given scholarship assistance, as we turn no one away due to the inability to pay. One of the greatest things that separates the YMCA from other organizations is that we are available to everyone, regardless of income, race or religion.  Every child, regardless of financial means, deserves the opportunity to learn core values in order to build strong character.  The YMCA of Kewanee provides that opportunity for every child.

STRONG KIDS CAMPAIGN

The YMCA of Kewanee believes in our community and invests its resources in "building strong kids, strong families and a stronger community". The Strong Kids Campaign, with the help of community volunteers, helps to ensure that the YMCA is available for for everyone; individuals, families, children, regardless of income, race, age or religion through the scholarship program, as we turn no youth away due to the inability to pay.

Gifts given through our Strong Kids Campaign help us to fund youth "programs with a purpose" that teach the core values of honesty, caring, respect and responsibility. Young people build character, gain self-esteem and learn life skills that they take with them into adulthood. Your gifts help keep day camps, schools out days, swimming lessons and youth sports programs going.
