Competitive Basketball

League Grades 2-5

WHAT
A 7 week COMPETETIVE league will be formed by volunteer coaches and YMCA staff during a meeting and draft process.

Divisions Include:
2nd and 3rd Grade
4th and 5th Grade

Teams will be coached by volunteers. The game will consist of two 20 minute halves (continuous clock) with a  5 minute half-time. 
The clock will only stop in the last minute of the game. Referees will be provided by the YMCA. Medals will be rewarded to the top 2 teams in each division.

WHEN
Winter sesison

GAMES- will be scheduled in the Big Gym for Saturday mornings and afternoons if necessary, times are TBA.

PRACTICES-  Volunteer coaches will set up at least 1 practice during the week to develop fundamentals and strategic plays.           

A coach may choose to practice more if desired. Practice times will be up to the Coaches Discretion.

COSTS/FEES
All teams will be required to have a Red and a Blue YMCA sports T-Shirt.  The shirts are available for $6.50 at the YMCA courtesy desk.

K & 1st grade Instructional Basketball

Instruction is taught through drills and pick-up games. 

Saturday Mornings in the small gym at 8:30am-9:15am.
